The Deacon of Dark River

The Deacon of Dark River won a composition competition organised by Nordic Music Days in Helsinki, Finland, in 2013. There it was in a version for three instruments (cl., guit., vlc) and a narrator. In 2014 the Icelandic Symphony Orchestra commissioned an orchestral version of the piece for family and school concerts and have performed it many times since. The piece has been translated into Finnish, Swedish, Danish, English and Icelandic.

A version for clarinet, guitar, cello, bass, percussion and narrator has been commissioned for a premiere in January 2018.
